Phu Cat Airport Fast Track (UIH): Quy Nhon’s Airport Opens to International Flights

Phu Cat Airport serves Quy Nhon and the coast of Gia Lai province (the former Binh Dinh province, merged in 2025). For years it handled only domestic flights. That is now changing: a second runway opened for operations in autumn 2026, and on 25 October 2026 the first direct flight from Macao landed at Phu Cat. More international charter flights are expected, with regular international routes planned from 2027. If you arrive on one of these flights, our Phu Cat airport fast track service can meet you at the immigration hall.
This guide covers what is new at Phu Cat, what the arrival looks like for international passengers, and whether you need Quy Nhon airport fast track.
We are a private travel service, not the Vietnamese government. Vietnam Immigration still checks your passport and visa and decides on your entry.

What to expect at immigration at Phu Cat
International flights are new at Phu Cat, and for now they arrive one at a time. That usually means a manageable queue. However, the whole planeload, often a tour group, reaches passport control together. If you need a visa on arrival, you first stop at the landing visa counter.
If you arrive on a domestic flight, for example from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, there is no immigration check.
Do you need Phu Cat airport fast track?
- You arrive on an international flight, such as from Macao: fast track is helpful if you need a visa on arrival or a loose-leaf visa (common for travellers from mainland China), travel with family, or want to be out before the tour group.
- You arrive on a domestic flight: you do not need arrival fast track at Phu Cat.
- You enter Vietnam at another airport and fly on to Quy Nhon: book fast track at your entry airport, for example Tan Son Nhat airport fast track or Noi Bai airport fast track.
Because international flights at Phu Cat are new and not yet daily, please send us your flight number and arrival time when you book, so we can confirm the arrangement.
How fast track works at Phu Cat
